Hey Ottawa - it's the last day of January! and we are only 3 days away from the start of Winterlude! Despite the sad news of some cancellations, there will still be plenty to do to enjoy our outdoor festival, along with many opportunities to support local businesses. Let's hope that the colder weather will help the canal, but we know that Ottawans will help make it all a lot of fun, and support local along the way!

Today we celebrate the Lunar New Year, the beginning of the calendar based on the phases of the moon. This year is the Year of the Rabbit for Chinese New Year, the fourth of all zodiac animals, and one that is proud of its speed. The Rabbit represents the moon, and is earnest, expecting the same treatment in return. We wish everyone a Happy Lunar New Year, and know that you will make your festivities local - right through to the Lantern Festival on February 5th!
Get out there this weekend and visit the Ottawa Home & Remodelling Show at the EY Centre and visit many local business exhibitors and presenters to shop for products and services for your home projects. While there, enjoy a cold brew from Perth Brewery Beer Garden. Great way to support local while planning your spring projects!
