The Mud Oven - Covid 19 Protocols 

We are committed to serving the public in a safe and responsible manner.
We are monitoring information from Ottawa Public Health and we are following all of their recommendations.

We have made the following adjustments to our sanitation and cleaning protocols: 

• Regular cleaning of all high-touch surfaces such as tables, chairs, countertops, and surfaces with antibacterial sprays. Hand sanitizer is available at multiple locations throughout the studio.

• Staff will complete a self-screening health questionnaire before each shift.

• In between use by clients, Staff are responsible for the collection and cleaning of all borrowed materials such as brushes, paint bottles, and palettes. 

• Staff will ensure the bathroom is disinfected hourly. Additional cleaning materials will be provided in the bathroom should an individual want to disinfect surfaces themselves before use.

• We've redesigned the studio, providing pods for parties of different sizes, in order to be able to accommodate more painters while creating a barrier in place of social distancing. 

• Masks are required by staff and customers at all times on the premises. 

• Our capacity limits vary within the Ottawa level frameworks. At this time we are allowing up to 15 patrons in our studio at any time, with staggered reservation times to prevent crowding and to adhere to social distancing guidelines within our space.

• We are still pleased to offer our Paint-At-Home Kits at no additional cost, as well as contactless pick up by request.

• Guests are expected to wear a mask that covers their nose, mouth and chin at all times while in the studio.

• At this time, we ask that no food or drink be consumed on site.

• When you arrive, we will ask that you either wash your hands at one of our sinks with soap and water, or use our hand sanitizer.

Out of respect and for the safety of the staff and other customers, if you are showing signs of illness (coughing, etc.) we will ask you to leave the studio. We are happy to continue to offer our Paint-at-home kits at no additional cost. Thank you for your understanding. 

Our first priority remains keeping employees and customers safe and well-informed while doing what we can to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. We will continue working hard to continue to provide a safe, creative space for the community.
