Preston Hardware first opened its doors in 1945 and has been Ottawa’s most trusted name in home improvement ever since. Preston Hardware is Canada’s largest independent hardware store and is known throughout Ottawa and Eastern Ontario for their dedication to service, selection, and value.

In 2011, Preston Hardware was appointed a Benjamin Moore dealer and is recognized as one of the largest and fastest-growing Benjamin Moore dealers in Canada.

Identifying a need to provide high-quality paints to professional painters, interior designers, and homeowners in Ottawa’s east end, Preston Hardware expanded for the first time in its history and opened Preston Paints on Tenth Line Road in 2018 with the goal of serving a growing number of residential and commercial customers at our East End location. Their second location soon followed in 2019 on Hazeldean Rd in Stittsville to continue the goal of serving a growing number of customers. We’re proud of our partnership with Benjamin Moore because they make the best paint in the industry.
