About Us
ADCOR CONSTRUCTION & SONS is the evolution of a company founded by owner, Shane Adsett, almost thirty years ago. Over the years, Shane has been joined by his sons and the larger ADCOR family. Specializing in all aspects of renovating commercial and residential properties, we continue to pride our self on timely quality service while accommodating the desires of our clientele. Client satisfaction has always been and will always be our #1 priority.
OTTAWA'S CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION COMPANY
By working closely with our clients from project beginning to end, ADCOR CONSTRUCTION & SONS assures that the finished project will exceed expectations.
To eliminate the confusion and need to hire multiple companies for one project, we offer design and build services from initial sketches to the final construction and detailed finishing. Our process is solid in that we provide design plans, register the permits and only proceed on projects with an Engineer’s Report.
All of our staff are red seal heritage carpenters or their apprentices. ADCOR CONSTRUCTION & SONS staff undertake the complete project unlike project management companies that may farm out the work to a variety of contractors.
We also carry 5 million is Liability insurance.
We listen to clients and support them by assisting in selecting products that best meet their needs.
This continuous involvement and ongoing collaboration with clients is what allows us to take our clients’ renovation dreams and transform them into reality. All clients have full easy access to the company owners who are local and always ready to hear from clients.
At ADCOR CONSTRUCTION & SONS, our projects are done right the first time. We have a proven track record of client satisfaction and much of our business is a result of “word of mouth” advertising.
Furthermore our staff all have and are required to maintain all safety certifications. They have full WSIB coverage.

Questions to consider when hiring a construction company or contractor...
At ADCOR CONSTRUCTION & SONS, we approach construction as a collaboration between client, designer, consultants, and sub-contractors. We STRONGLY recommend that you ask any potential contractors the following questions. Unfortunately accidents can happen, and you may be held liable if the contractor is not covered.
Does the company have a minimum of $5,000.000.00 liability insurance?
Do they provide a dated copy of the proof of liability insurance addressed to you specifically?
Do the staff have all MOL [Ministry of Labour] legislated safety training such as valid working at heights, where required?
With the exception of specialty contractors such as electricians, all work on our projects is undertaken by Adcor Construction & Sons staff. This gives us full control of where our people are assigned and prevents delays. Our crew is committed to produce work of the highest quality and all our projects are assigned a site foreman, project manager and office manager. All our clients are met by the company owner and have access to him at all times.
Other questions to consider are :
Is the work predominantly undertaken by their staff or subcontractors?
Does the company employ professionally certified Red Seal Carpenters / Apprentices to undertake the work?
Who is on-site managing my project and who is ultimately responsible for my job? Are you a construction firm or a project management firm that will simply subcontract all the work?
Will the company be responsible for acquiring all permits related to the project or is the client responsible to procure their own permits?
